ZIMMER AUSTRIA to Unveil Next-Generation Textile Printing Technologies at Techtextil 2026
Kufstein – Austria – April 2026 – ZIMMER AUSTRIA, a global leader in printing and coating technologies, will present its latest innovations in Screen Printing & Coating Systems and Digital Printing Technology at Techtextil 2026in Frankfurt, Germany.
The exhibition, taking place at Hall 12.0, Booth C81, will feature several major highlights — including the world premiere of the all-new COLARIS-TeX digital textile printer.
As the global textile industry accelerates its shift towards smart manufacturing, demands on printing and coating technologies have reached new heights.
Efficiency, precision, and intuitive operation are no longer differentiators — they are baseline expectations.
Among the most striking exhibits will be a full-scale COLARIS print carriage equipped with up to 96 high-performance print heads.
Used in digital carpet and towel printing systems, the carriage illustrates the scale of engineering sophistication required for high-capacity industrial printing.
Its mechanical precision and dimensional stability ensure consistent, high-quality results — even at the demanding production volumes that today's textile manufacturers require.
Built around an operator-centric philosophy, the COLARIS-TeX minimises manual intervention, shortens training periods, and ensures consistently high print quality across multi-shift environments.
The machine integrates an advanced digital connectivity package that enables remote diagnostics, predictive maintenance, and real-time support from ZIMMER AUSTRIA's specialists — dramatically reducing the risk of unexpected downtime.
Its redesigned print carriage supports up to 12 colour channels and up to six print heads per channel, utilising FUJIFILM Dimatix StarFire™ print heads for long service life and reparability.
A universal ink system accommodates multiple dye classes and functional fluids, offering users the flexibility to expand their product range and respond quickly to shifting market demands.
Sustainability is also a core consideration in the COLARIS-TeX's design. A newly developed blanket washing system drastically reduces water consumption, and when paired with an optional water treatment module, total water use can be reduced to a fraction of that required by comparable systems.
A new dryer concept, capable of handling up to five fabric passes, further supports energy-efficient production.
