Epson and Priya Ahluwalia Unveil "Fashion Play" Collection to Highlight Children's Clothing Waste
London, UK – December 2025 – Epson UK & Ireland has announced "Fashion Play," a new collaboration with celebrated designer and sustainability advocate Priya Ahluwalia.
The project features a unique, doll-sized fashion collection created from textile waste, powerfully illustrating the environmental impact of fast fashion, particularly in children's apparel.
The miniature collection, comprising two menswear and two womenswear looks inspired by Ahluwalia's AW25 designs, serves as a poignant reminder of the urgent need to reconsider how children's clothing is produced, used, and discarded.
This initiative is supported by new Epson research revealing that an estimated 812.6 million items of children's clothing are thrown away annually across Europe.
The "Fashion Play" garments were produced using Epson's pioneering Dry Fiber Technology, a revolutionary process that transforms used textiles into new, printable fibres without the use of water or harsh chemicals.
The collection was then printed using Epson's Monna Lisa digital textile printing technology, which can reduce water consumption by up to 97% compared to traditional dyeing methods. This collaboration showcases a viable circular model for the fashion industry.
