SDL Atlas Unveil Their New Environmentally Conscious Bundesmann Textile Water Resistance Tester

Charlotte, NC, June 2024 – SDL Atlas is proud to announce the launch of the updated Bundesmann with a focus on environmental sustainability.
This latest modification of the popular water resistance tester sees the replacement of the traditional continuous water supply mechanism with a built-in water recirculation system, drastically reducing total water consumption required during testing.
The water recirculation system helps companies “Go Green” while not taking any additional floor space.
The Bundesmann determines the resistance to simulated rain for fabrics that are being contacted during use such as rain jackets.

Water flow can be varied depending on the requirements of the standard
Automatic timer switches off when test cycle completes
Drip tray keeps water from dropping onto test area in between tests
Mechanical filter removes any coarse contaminants from the water
In addition to this environmentally friendly update, several enhancements have been made to improve the user experience and aesthetic appeal of the Bundesmann, including the addition of test area lighting around the instrument frame, a redesigned routing of draining hoses on the drip collection pan, and the inclusion of an intuitive control panel.
