Sofiemyr, Norway – May 2024 – Reklamepartner Graphics has made a significant investment in state-of-the-art printing technology by acquiring two new large-format printers from Agfa. This strategic move now means that the majority of their print production is handled exclusively by Agfa machines.
“We are thrilled to expand our fleet with Agfa’s premier printing solutions. Their production machines are outstanding, and the ability to streamline our operations with a single workflow solution is a tremendous advantage,” said Gisle Nesbakk, CEO of Reklamepartner Graphics.
Reklamepartner Graphics, initially founded by Nesbakk in 1998, has a rich history in providing comprehensive graphic materials for retail environments. After being acquired by Norwegian New Store Europe and later by the Swedish group ITAB, Reklamepartner has continued to grow and innovate. Today, it serves as a pivotal 'pure factory' for ITAB, producing permanent interior design elements for major retail chains such as Coop and Power.
The Journey with Agfa’s Technology
It all began with the Tauro. Seven years ago, during a critical transition period for Reklamepartner, Agfa’s sales representative Nils-Arne Sletten introduced the Jeti Tauro H2500 LED, a hybrid printer with white ink capability and semi-automatic features. This machine has proven indispensable, maintaining excellent performance without the need to replace a single printhead since its installation.
“The reliability and quality of the Tauro were compelling factors in our decision to further invest in Agfa machines,” said Nesbakk.
Expanding Capabilities
In 2023, Reklamepartner upgraded its machinery yet again, replacing an older Durst Rhotex with Agfa’s Avinci CX3200. This sublimation printer offers unparalleled speed and versatility, capable of printing directly onto fabric or transfer paper at up to 250 square meters per hour.
“I am extremely impressed with the Avinci; it’s four times faster than our previous machine. While textile printing is not our primary focus, this capability is crucial for our larger projects,” Nesbakk noted.
To complement the Avinci, Reklamepartner also added the Oberon RTR 3300 roll-to-roll UV LED printer. This machine excels in producing high-quality prints on a variety of substrates, including wallpapers, magnetic foils, and canvases for lightboxes.
“With the addition of the Oberon, Agfa now accounts for nearly all our printing needs, except for a single Canon Colorado printer,” said Nesbakk.
Seamless Integration and Efficiency
Both new printers were installed in November 2023 and are now fully operational. All three Agfa machines are integrated with Agfa’s Asanti workflow software, which provides robust color management and automates the entire process from prepress to finishing.
The Jeti Tauro continues to play a critical role, particularly in producing hanging signs, canopies, and other large-format materials. Reklamepartner’s workflow is further enhanced by their three Kongsberg cutting tables, ensuring that each production line operates efficiently under a single operator’s supervision.
Additionally, the facility houses two MultiCam tables for milling LED boxes and signs, making Reklamepartner a fully self-sufficient workshop capable of handling a wide range of production needs.
