Heimtextil 2026 Strengthens Global Home Textile Industry With AI Technologies and Strategic Innovations

Frankfurt am Main, Germany – October 2025– Heimtextil 2026 has announced a comprehensive transformation of the world's leading trade fair for home and contract textiles, introducing AI-driven innovations, an optimised hall layout, and progressive design collaborations to address current market volatility.

Under the motto 'Lead the Change', the event will showcase how the industry can turn challenges into opportunities from 13 to 16 January 2026.

More than 3,100 exhibitors from 65 countries will present new collections and textile solutions at the Frankfurt exhibition, providing a comprehensive market overview during a period of global economic uncertainty and digital transformation.

The trade fair responds directly to challenges facing the textile industry, including strained consumer climate and rapidly evolving AI technologies that are reshaping business models across the sector.

The 2026 edition introduces a revolutionary hall concept that optimally combines product groups and covers the entire spectrum of textile and non-textile interior design.

This strategic restructuring aims to increase visibility, strengthen synergies, and bring supply and demand together more effectively.

Central to the exhibition's evolution are the Heimtextil Trends 26/27, which will be housed in the curated Trend Arena in Hall 6.1.

Developed in partnership with design platform Alcova Milano, the trends connect traditional craftsmanship with AI-driven technologies under the theme 'Craft is a verb'.

This fusion of high-tech and handcraft generates new impulses ranging from natural influences to AI-generated colours.

World-renowned architect Patricia Urquiola will create an immersive textile installation called 'among-all' in Hall 3.0, demonstrating how AI-driven design addresses individual human needs whilst enabling innovative spatial concepts for design, retail, and hospitality sectors.

The exhibition introduces several specialised areas, including the new Sleep & Meet zone in Hall 4.0, developed with the German Mattress Industry Association, and the Interior.Architecture.Hospitality programme targeting architecture, interior design, and healthcare sectors.

The Carpets & Rugs segment expands across four hall levels, complemented by the new Flooring & Equipment product group.
