Heimtextil Unveils Trends 27/28 with Live Digital Premiere on 7 September

Frankfurt am Main – August 2026 – Heimtextil, the world's leading trade fair for home and contract textiles, is set to reveal its highly anticipated Trends 27/28 forecast in a digital live premiere on 7 September 2026 at 14:00 (CEST).

Developed in collaboration with the internationally recognised design platform Alcova, the event will explore one of the most defining tensions in contemporary living: the home as both a space for performance and a place of retreat.

Titled "Home-Maxxing – The Performance of Everyday Living", the Heimtextil Trends 27/28 examine how optimisation culture — spanning health, sleep, routine, and now the home itself — is reshaping the way people design and inhabit their living spaces.

At the same time, the growing desire for environments that offer genuine rest and restoration has never been stronger. The trends presentation confronts this duality head-on, offering critical insights for designers, manufacturers, and retailers navigating the evolving home textiles market.

The digital premiere will run for approximately one hour and will be streamed live in both English and German.

Attendees are encouraged to register in advance, as registration is required to access the live stream and submit questions directly to speakers during the session.

Those unable to attend live will be able to access the recording afterwards via the Heimtextil press website.

The collaboration with Alcova — a Milan-based platform known for its forward-looking approach to design and space — lends the Trends 27/28 presentation a distinctly international and culturally attuned perspective.

This partnership reflects Heimtextil's continued commitment to shaping, not merely reporting on, the direction of the global home textiles industry.
