Kongsberg Ultimate Named Best Wide Format Cutting Solution In Prestigious drupa Awards

Wednesday, June 05, 2024 : Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (PCS) proudly announces that its groundbreaking Kongsberg Ultimate has been named Best Wide Format Cutting Solution at the EDP Awards, clinching the top honor at the prestigious awards ceremony held during drupa 2024.

Launched just six months ago, the Kongsberg Ultimate has already established itself as a game-changer. Debuting globally at the Messe Düsseldorf exhibition, it has captivated audiences with its unmatched levels of productivity, precision, and safety.

The EDP Awards, organized by the European Digital Press (EDP) Association, celebrated their winners at an evening ceremony on May 29 during drupa. Founded in 2006, the EDP is an independent non-profit organization based in Austria, representing digital printing companies and professionals across Europe. It serves as a platform for networking, knowledge-sharing, and advocacy for publishers of trade magazines in the digital printing industry.

In its written report declaring the Kongsberg Ultimate winner, the EDP judging panel noted, “The new cutting system addresses the specific challenges faced by corrugated converters in continuous, high-volume, multi-batch production. It offers high levels of productivity, precision, and safety with its new Precision Drive technology and impressive acceleration and cutting speed."

David Preskett, Vice President of EMEA and APAC at Kongsberg PCS, accepted the award for the Kongsberg Ultimate in the Digital Cutting – Knife/Die/Laser: Wide Format category.
