Friedmans Ltd. And Funki Fabrics Unveil Their AW26 Fabric Trends, Spotlighting Warm Neutrals, Jewel Tones And Moody Botanicals

Altrincham – Cheshire – Friedmans Ltd & Funki Fabrics have today released their Autumn/Winter 2026 fabric trend report, identifying four key directions set to define the season: warm neutrals, deep jewel tones, vampy cherry reds and dark, moody botanicals.

The report offers designers across dancewear, performance wear, costume and beyond a clear framework for translating seasonal colour and print movements into fabric choices.

According to Funki Fabrics, AW26 marks a decisive shift towards richer, more dramatic palettes.

Cool creams and pale beiges are giving way to toasted beige, camel and biscuit browns, offering warmth and versatility as either standalone tones or a base for bolder accents.

At the other end of the spectrum, saturated jewel shades, sapphire blue, forest green, deep teal and emerald, are bringing a heightened sense of luxury, particularly when paired with high-shine or textured finishes such as sequins and foils.

Red is also undergoing a transformation this season. Rather than the bright, vibrant reds of previous years, Funki Fabrics points to deep cherry, burgundy, oxblood and wine-inspired shades as the new statement colour, suited to both all-over application and contrasting accent details.

Meanwhile, botanical prints are moving into more atmospheric territory, with oversized blooms and dramatic foliage rendered in emerald, burgundy, midnight blue and black replacing the brighter florals typically associated with warmer seasons.

Funki Fabrics is encouraging designers to treat these trends as a starting point rather than a rulebook.

The company's range spans plain and textured fabrics, statement sequins, foils and fully customisable print options, giving designers the flexibility to interpret each trend in their own way, whether that means building a tonal neutral palette, layering jewel tones with reflective finishes, or commissioning a bespoke botanical print.

The release of the AW26 trend report reflects Funki Fabrics' ongoing commitment to supporting designers with timely, practical insight into the shifting fabric landscape, helping them move from inspiration to creation with confidence.

Designers can explore the full AW26 range now via the Funki Fabrics website, with plain, printed and statement-finish fabrics available to support the season's key looks.
