This latest CalderaRIP Version 18.2 update delivers significant performance improvements, advanced compatibility features, and expanded machine support to strengthen workflow efficiency for large format printing operations.
The new version addresses critical user feedback whilst introducing cutting-edge capabilities that respond directly to the evolving needs of print service providers.
CalderaRIP 18.2 focuses on enhanced job management and streamlined workflows, reflecting Caldera's commitment to delivering practical solutions for real-world printing challenges.
A key improvement in Version 18.2 is the enhanced processing of EPS files, which previously caused freezing or extended processing times with complex or heavy files.
This resolution enables users to import EPS files more quickly and reliably, creating a smoother production experience essential for time-sensitive jobs and high-volume workflows.
For HP Latex 630W, 700W, 730W, 800W, and 830W users, the update introduces a new "Display White Printhead Warnings" option. When enabled, the printer driver displays contextual messages based on specific production requirements, providing clear guidance for optimal print results.
CalderaRIP 18.2 also supports alignment mark tracking for the new Kala KalaXY Pro, enhancing cut accuracy through automatic media adjustment.
Additionally, automation improvements now allow Summa F and S Series cutters to automatically execute cut jobs on printed media generated by CalderaRIP, reducing manual configuration requirements and improving workflow efficiency.
Driver compatibility remains one of CalderaRIP’s strongest assets. In Version 18.2, Caldera expands its library of supported devices by introducing a new selection of Print and Cut drivers, including:
