AVA Features Its Comprehensive CAD Specialist Training Programme To Address Skills Gap In The Decorative Printing Industry
AVA, a leading innovator in decorative printing technology, is highlighting its comprehensive CAD Specialist training programme designed to bridge the critical skills gap between education and the decorative printing industry.
The programme offers industry-standard certification that equips participants with essential skills in digital design, colour separation, and 3D visualisation.
The training programme addresses the growing demand for skilled professionals in the decorative printing sector by providing hands-on experience with AVA software from creation through to print.
Participants will master industry-required skills including creating real-time repeating patterns, colour separations for both flat and tonal artwork, colourway creation, and advanced 3D visualisations.
The comprehensive curriculum is structured to transform participants' passion for design into marketable, industry-standard skillsets that meet current market demands.
By focusing on practical application and real-world scenarios, the programme ensures graduates possess the technical expertise required by today's decorative printing employers.
The training initiative comes at a crucial time when the decorative printing industry faces significant challenges in finding qualified CAD specialists.
Traditional educational pathways often fail to provide the specific technical skills required for modern decorative printing applications, leaving a notable gap between academic preparation and industry requirements.
AVA's commitment to addressing this skills shortage reflects the company's broader mission to support industry growth through education and innovation.
The programme represents a strategic investment in workforce development that benefits both individual participants and the wider decorative printing sector.
The training programme is now accepting applications, with courses designed to accommodate both industry newcomers and professionals seeking to enhance their existing skillsets.
Upon completion, participants receive official AVA certification recognised throughout the decorative printing industry.
About AVA Software
AVA have been creating software to facilitate the design and production of decorative print for use on Apple® Macs® for almost as long as they have been around.
Our focus on a relatively narrow area of the total ‘print’ market has enabled us to develop highly specialised software based on continuous feedback from partner customers, with whom we have now been working for several decades, in a process of continuous review and improvement. AVA today is structured in two (overlapping) groups. One group focuses on the particular needs and challenges of printing onto textiles (Fashion, Home Furnishing), while the other specialises in the challenges of decorative printing onto other ‘Surfaces’ (Flooring, Wallcoverings, Ceramics).
We believe that even the best software can only fulfil its full potential as an aid to improved quality and productivity if its users are properly trained and supported. That’s why we have built a unique team of multi-lingual industry specialists to provide unlimited training and support for our customers all over the world.
One of the very few good things to come out of the Covid 19 pandemic was our discovery of the effectiveness of individually tailored e-training delivered to our customers all over the world. In addition to reducing our environmental footprint due to reduced air travel, the cost effective nature of e-training has enabled us to offer free annual refresher training to all AVA customers.
