Hong Kong – The fashion industry stands on the brink of a transformative shift with the launch of the SFAA x Stella Blu x Arts Thread Design Contest 2024 – Denim Go Green.
This pioneering competition calls upon the creative minds of students and recent graduates from Hong Kong to redefine denim through the lens of sustainability.
Empowering Creative Visionaries in Sustainable Fashion
The SFAA Foundation Limited (Sustainable Fashion Apparel Association) and Stella Blu Textile Limited are proud to co-organize this landmark contest, inviting passionate designers to showcase their ingenuity and commitment to environmental stewardship. Emphasizing originality and fresh perspectives, the contest challenges participants to conceptualize six outfits that incorporate at least 80% sustainable denim, catering to diverse audiences including men, women, or a fusion of both.
Deadline to Apply: July 31, 2024
The Prizes
The top two designers will be awarded an array of prestigious prizes:
Paid Internship: Winners will secure a paid internship at Stella Blu Headquarters in Hong Kong and China in 2024.
Coaching and Support: Participants will receive expert coaching, cutting-edge technological support, and materials towards creating a physical prototype.
International Promotion: Winning designs will be showcased at international trade fairs in Asia, Europe, and the USA.
Recognition: Each winner will receive a framed certificate commemorating their achievement.
Submission Requirements and How to Enter
Open to both Hong Kong-based and international students who are Hong Kong citizens and recent graduates (2021, 2022, and 2023 graduates), the submission process is streamlined for ease of participation. Entrants can submit their designs by creating or logging into their ARTS THREAD portfolio, uploading their project, and selecting the SFAA x Stella Blu x Arts Thread Design Contest 2024 from the competition dropdown options.
Entry is free and the deadline to apply is July 31, 2024.
