A recent extensive printed carpet project from Halbmond Teppichewerke at the Dorint Hotel in Dortmund showed the creative freedom that digital printing gives to carpet suppliers and Interior designers.

Using Colaris and Chromojet machinery from Zimmer Austria, Halbmond delivered almost 500 sqm of printed carpet, using designs that embodied the industrial culture of the Ruhr region.

The design theme was coal-mining which contributed to making the Ruhr into the economic and cultural centre of Westphalia.

Dortmund is rightly regarded as a Ruhr metrolpolis with an exciting industrial culture.
