Zimmer Austria To Feature Live Fabric Production At Printing United In Dallas

ZIMMER AUSTRIA will be printing pigment inks live on the Printing United show October 23rd-25th in Dallas (booth #9959) with the COLARIS.12-2200 Digital Inkjet Printer — designed for textiles and piece goods.
COLARIS is a family of high-performance, high-quality printing machines for all kinds of textile and carpet materials.
Ranging from 1,800 mm up to 4,200 mm printing width, it covers most known textile applications.
COLARIS is a most flexible inkjet system and suitable for all inks classes: acid, cationic, disperse, sublimation, pigment, reactive and VAT.
The modular layout of COLARIS allows not only integration of various machine components such as inline pre-treatment or inline finishing on various different products but is additionally ready for implementation of future technology.
Due to its modular design the COLARIS printers are suitable for printing on any kind of textile incl. woven, knitted and nonwoven substrates within a weight range from 30 through 1,200 g/m².
The printers are available with 4, 6 or 8 color set-up, with up to 16 print heads in 4 color mode or up to 8 print heads per color bar when more than 4 colors are installed.
It is also possible to fill color bars with clear ink or other compounds that are supportive to achieve a certain demand.
When designing the COLARIS maximum attention has been given to the economics of printing and to an eco-friendly print production. Substantial reduction on ink consumption and saving of energy are achieved through new print head and process technology for various textile substrates.
ZIMMER AUSTRIA uses ink circulating printheads from the Fujiilm Dimatix StarFireTM SG1024 family for all of its COLARIS platform.
The right printhead is particularly important for the pigment, disperse or VAT ink classes to ensure reliable production operation.
The Fujifilm Dimatix Starfire printhead is repairable and easy to maintain.
Moreover, ZIMMER AUSTRIA offers a very reasonably priced Printhead Reconditioning Program that increases the service life of the printhead and reduces the overall printhead costs substantially.
ZIMMER AUSTRIA also offers a wide range of pre- and post-treatment systems like coating machines, steamers, washers, hot-air and infrared dryers.
