Viscom Italia 2022 Highlighted Outstanding Participation & The Relaunching Of New Business Prospects

 A highly successful turn out with over 15,000 visitors and 300 international brands. All the new visual communication applications were on display highlighting the latest retail, fashion, advertising and brand industry market trends.

The visual communication supply chain finds itself enriched with ever more new products and cutting-edge technologies delineating new business prospects.

Milan, 19th of October 2022 – Great satisfaction and truly contagious enthusiasm for the 33rd edition of the most important visual communication market event, which successfully wrapped up last Saturday 15th of October.

With 300 international brands and 15,483 participating professional visitors (+71% turn out compared to the 2021 edition) from 59 countries all taking fieramilano’s halls 8/12 by storm.

Viscom Italia, once again confirmed its ability to change - edition after edition - in the sign of continuity, always finding new ways to put new life into the events and exhibition initiatives that help enhance the growth of companies and offer new stimulating business ideas for its audience.

A dynamism that is the image of a market in continuous evolution and aimed at a renewal oriented more to product customization.

A pure contamination of products giving even more added value because it provided the possibility of discovering - starting off from the products and applications on display - new opportunities for the following sectors: Large Format Digital Printing - Signage - Poster Design - Screen Printing - Pad Printing - Textile Promotion - Embroidery - Engraving - Milling - Laser - Packaging - Labelling - Digital Signage - Digital Communication and Visual Merchandising.

"Business, creativity, trends, innovation, experimentation and in-depth analysis were the key words that distinguished this year’s Viscom Italia edition," comments Cecilia Montalbetti, Viscom Italia Exhibition Manager, "making it an unmissable opportunity for all operators and an important moment to discuss how and where the profession is heading and all the dynamics taking place within the sector. The sector’s vitality buzz was also felt amongst the stands, where we received very positive comments from exhibitors."

This year’s events provided a specialized training environment to build up industry sector related know-how, a wealth of networking opportunity as well as the chance to seize business opportunities with the aid of new technology demonstrations. 9 workshops, with more than 20 speakers and 370 professionals helped make the vibrant Viscom Talks a success.

The spotlight was placed on a variety of topics specifically related to sustainability applied to design, fashion, and packaging as well as discussing nfts, augmented reality, and visual merchandising - directly comparing experiences and ideas.

Highly appreciated was fair newcomer "A la carte creativity” – which put on display 5 paper manufacturers and distributors together with the creative flair of 6 designers, illustrators, graphic designers and artists.

A threeday event that explored the boundaries of visual communications starting from shapes to colours, textures to sustainable features where artists and designers brought to life their creations.

Once again the "Together against hunger" project helping a local food bank charity Banco Alimentare of Lombardy was enthusiastically supported.

Throughout the entire event, exhibitors and visitors were warmly invited to participate in "Together against hunger". 1 euro from each sandwich and/or lunch box purchased at any one of the restaurants in halls 8/12 was donated to the charity.

Everybody’s contribution helped raise and enabled its partner charities to distribute an equivalent of 18,288 meals to families and needy people in Milan

Style and design stole the show at this year’s Elementaria, the event organised in collaboration with Display Italia magazine.

The event put 8 hi-design prototypes under the spotlight and show cased the most creative display solutions created by 8 internationally renowned designers and artists who joined forces with raw material companies to propose projects dedicated to display furniture and launch future trends for the retail and brand industry.

Finally, rounding off the event were all the awards handed out to the DIVA winners from the 27 displays that battled it out for the honour of the Display Italia Viscom Award – the international competition organised in collaboration with Display Italia magazine.

The jurors being Cristiana Sormani - Trade Marketing Manager of the Pharmacy Channel at Bayer Consumer Healthcare (Jury Chairperson), Sara Appiani - Buyer POS Cardboard for L'Oréal Italia, Federica Brumen - Head of Research & Development at COMIECO, Giuliana Castelli - Marketing Manager at H.I.C., Aldo Coppola Group, Anna Maria Nicolini - Marketing Manager at Hoya-Seiko Lens and Patrizio Guastaferro - Category Manager Coordinator at Mediaworld awarded the winning exhibition solutions submitted to the competition.
