Adding to their more compact range of affordable printers, InkTec have launched a UV DTF Printer.
Designed to broaden printing opportunities for printers operating in the printwear and promotion arena, the printer was first revealed at the recent Print Show at the NEC.
Using ultraviolet curing technology, this printing approach enables designs to be easily transferred directly onto hard, smooth objects, even onto irregular shapes.
A combination of UV-curable ink (also available from InkTec) and a special film creates designs that can be added to a variety of substrates including plastics, metal, board and more.
With no need for weeding the image, users can simply press firmly and peel off the film. Ideal for adding designs to a myriad of promotional items.
The printer’s compact size, with the option for either a 60cm or 30cm print width makes it an accessible piece of kit which can easily be used integrated into existing operations.
“Building on the success of the compact DTF Printer and solutions launched earlier this year, it was a natural progression to also introduce a UV DTF Printer. It is an exciting time at InkTec, and we have been having conversations with a variety of people who can see the potential of what this printer can bring. Some of whom were looking for a way to easily apply graphics without the challenge of having multiple application stages. As the UV technology applies the varnish at the same time during the printing process, the result is a glossy, strong finish which quickly adheres to the medium it is being applied to.”Joey Kim, Managing Director, Inktec
In addition, InkTec offer specialist UV DTF Film and inks in CMYK, plus White and Varnish. These use their experience of over 30 years developing and manufacturing inks to deliver vivid colours, creating striking graphics that can be easily applied.
About InkTec Europe
InkTec has been operating in Witney, Oxfordshire since 2006, but the business was actually founded in 1992 in South Korea.
There it initially started supplying ink for desk-top printers. Since then, services have significantly expanded across the globe with over 200 distribution channels through 80 countries.
Now InkTec is a leading manufacturer of inkjet ink, JETRIX printers and media for the indoor and outdoor advertisement and large format printer market.
The celebrated JETRIX brand stemmed initially from the development of UV-curable technology centred on large format flatbeds.
Leading into the evolution to LED-UV printing, the JETRIX range has extended to now also include even more extensive, versatile printers including Roll-to-Roll.
All of which feature the specialist advanced electronic technology skills and build quality globally recognised from South Korea.
Alongside which is the accumulated knowledge from years of research and development of inks, media and speciality inks such as white ink, varnish ink and primers (for glass and metal).
For over 30 years, InkTec has researching, developing and supplying solvent, eco solvent, dye sublimation, UV and DTF inks.
With our stringent quality control processes, systems, cutting-edge analysis instruments and experiment apparatus ensures our products are developed to deliver complete compatibility and a quality comparison to products supplied by the original printer manufacturers.
Not only do we develop our own ink technology, we have taken the time to gather a precise knowledge on ink dynamics and how many of the leading large format printer brands are built and operate.
In fact, we pride ourselves on often providing a better quality than other manufacturers, who can opt for a simpler formulation or lower price raw materials.
