Ultraflex Europe, based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, has become a reseller for Agfa products.

It’s a partnership that will see them add Agfa’s large-format inkjet print engines, associated software and consumables to their print media supplies business.

Ultraflex Europe has been supplying high-performance digital print media to the market since 1994.

They carry high stocks of flexible PVC media, speciality substrates and polyester textiles for speedy delivery to their printer customers.

The business resides in a 18,000 sq ft warehouse and today largely supplies a thriving large format market.

It’s a growing business, that’s been selling large format media since the early days of wide format print, and it’s well regarded as a specialist for media rolls ranging up to 5m.

It accelerated its growth when it acquired a well-established customer, Mayday Graphic Products in 2020, a business almost 40 years old, which added self-adhesive vinyl products and many Litho customers to the business.

The now sizeable, combined business focusses on supplying a number of larger direct customers and distributors to get their products to market.

Paul Fitch, Head of Inkjet at Agfa UK & Ireland agreed “Having a reseller with such a broad reach of contacts, especially across the south of England, will allow us to tap into a wider base of customers to talk about the Agfa brand. Ultraflex Europe is a very knowledgeable media supplier with a great reputation for quality products and technical expertise. I am looking forward to working with them and developing our business together.”

Clint Green, MD of Ultraflex said of this new strategic partnership: “We have been distributors of print media over many years so this is a logical addition to our product portfolio, especially as Mayday Graphics had lots of experience in the supply of print engines. We wanted to move forward with an established brand name in the wide-format market, that we trust and have confidence to promote to our customers. Agfa offer us a range of hybrid, flatbed and roll-to-roll print engines that will suit different requirements and we know that Agfa are highly praised by their customer base. They also have an exceptional team of support engineers to assist with installation and are quick to call out to any follow-up issues. We are delighted to have Agfa on board and innovative new complementary products to sell.”
