Düsseldorf, Germany – May 30, 2024 – In a groundbreaking collaboration announced at drupa (Hall 16, Stand A-41), Durst Group, renowned for its award-winning digital printing and production technologies, has forged a significant partnership with Titchfield Group.
This alliance marks an £8 million investment in cutting-edge digital printing technology over the next three years, aimed at enhancing operations across UK and international sites.
Titchfield Group, the UK’s largest provider of out-of-home (OOH) advertising services, is a major force in commercial property building and refurbishment. With a dedicated media services division and a focus on digital LED screens, Titchfield operates from its headquarters in Cuffley, Hertfordshire, and extends its reach through four additional UK locations and international sites in France, Spain, Italy, and Germany.
Strategic Installations Set to Transform Production
The first phase of this strategic partnership will see the installation of two state-of-the-art industrial digital production machines at Titchfield Media’s 100,000 sq ft production plant in Cardiff. Scheduled for June, the Aleph Laforte 600 Paper printing system will deliver up to 1,000 sqm/h with six-color, 1,200 dpi output, using sustainable, water-based technologies. This will be followed by the installation of the Durst P5 350 HSR D4 3.5m roll-to-roll LED machine, capable of printing up to 670 sqm/h, set to be operational by late summer.
Leadership Speaks on Innovation and Growth
Nigel Brunt, Titchfield founder, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership: “Before committing to Durst, a highly respected industry leader, we conducted comprehensive research, visiting numerous factories in China and Europe, and engaging in extensive trials and demonstrations. Durst emerged as the best solution for our business’s development and growth. Their advanced software offerings enhance the total solution, making it a compelling choice. Their unique approach to manufacturing, evident in their in-house honey and olive oil production, reflects a commitment to sustainability that we deeply value.”
Brunt continued, “Print is evolving, not declining, in out-of-home advertising. There is significant growth potential in environmentally friendly outdoor signage, offering opportunities for direct sales to site owners. With an £8 million capital investment plan over the next three years with Durst, I am incredibly optimistic about the future.”
Christoph Gamper, CEO and Co-Owner of Durst Group, expressed his delight, “Announcing this partnership at drupa is a testament to our shared values of innovation, quality, and exceptional customer service. Durst Group, driven by innovation, provides complete solutions from pixel to output. We support our customers in their business journeys, helping them create, inspire, and continuously push the boundaries.”
