The FESPA Lowdown ─ A Great Success For Premier Digital Textiles

It is safe to say that FESPA 2024 was a key launch platform.

Of the 80-plus product launches, two came from Premier Digital Textiles.

Held in Amsterdam over four days, more than 500 suppliers attended Europe’s leading print and signage exhibition, covering screen, digital and textile printing, signage, and visual communications.

100% Recycled Cotton

Crafted from pre-consumer waste, Premier Digital Textiles’ 100% recycled cotton can be used in crafting, dressmaking, tote bags and more.

This innovative product was showcased in numerous exhibition booths.

Many of the hundreds of people in attendance got a chance to watch live as we demonstrated print quality through a variety of machines.

Prepped for digital printing, our 100% recycled cotton was a hit, with many industry figures providing positive feedback and walking away with tote bag giveaways made from our new fabric.

It was a pleasure to once again collaborate with industry leading OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) such as D.gen, Kornit, Epson and Monti Antonio for the show.

Not just on our 100% recycled cotton launch, but on our revolutionary biodegradable polyester also. More on that later…

Pushing boundaries and unlocking business growth

Debbie McKeegan, Texintel CEO and Editor-in-chief, perhaps summarised best during a written review of FESPA Global Print Expo 2024.

“Print businesses,” she said, “must address the requirements of an increasingly eco-aware consumer base and Fespa – Amsterdam didn’t disappoint as a destination for print innovation and ground-breaking industry insight.

“The convergence of sustainability with cutting-edge technology,” she added, “ illustrates the industry’s forward-thinking approach, ensuring that the future of print is not just innovative but also responsible.

Headline partners at this year’s FESPA included CarbonQuota, Mimaki, Brother, ROQ and Stahls.

Those 80-plus product launches came in the form of cutters, consumables, direct-to-garment printers and sustainable materials.

In short it was a celebration of leading technology providers coming together to display eco-consciousness weaved with their latest materials, printing equipment, product applications and production techniques.

Or as Textintel said, ‘A Comprehensive Programme Of Education And Inspiration.’

Our Pioneering Polyester

Softly did it when it came to launching our revolutionary biodegradable 100% Polyester during FESPA.

This significant work in progress looks to counteract environmental concerns by ensuring the fabric can degrade like natural materials in a landfill, reducing microfibre pollution and synthetic textile accumulation.

In summary, this year’s FESPA has proven to be a great success for Premier Digital Textiles.

With the show focussing strongly on sustainability we brought our own unique level of commitment to pushing the boundaries.

Our own Mitesh Patel told The Textile Magazine during FESPA: “What we have enabled polyester printers to do is take a side step away from their core side of the business, which will be signage, and offer something more value added and premium.

“We believe strongly that everybody in the supply chain has to take some responsibility towards eco-friendly and sustainability. We are focusing more on eco sustainable fabrics, organic textiles, recycled cotton and polyesters. And it is our customers who are also demanding that from us.”

Bring on FESPA 2025… in Berlin.
