#GFWLive! Talk Announcement at GFW23 this June
With Phil Oakley. Director At Kornit Digital
Todays textile industry is one of the most polluting, resource hungry and wasteful on the planet.
Kornit's goal is to re-write the operating system for global fashion manufacturing. Bringing production back onshore, on-demand with zero water waste and zero landfill.
Our impact statement sets out an ambitious goal. By 2026, Kornit technology will enable the production of approximately 2.5 billion apparel items in a responsible manner, saving 4.3 trillion liters of water and 17.2 billion kilograms of greenhouse gas emissions and reducing Overproduction in the fashion industry by 1.1 Billion apparel items.
The future designers, creators and brands need to educate themselves on a new business model of fashion with game changing technology.
Kornit Digital & GFF
Kornit launched a printed fashion competition with GFF to support this education process in the hope that graduates go into the workplace armed with the knowledge that on-shore, on demand production is a reality and not a dream.

About Kornit Digital
Kornit is writing the operating system for fashion and textiles with end-to-end solutions including digital printing systems, inks, consumables and a holistic global ecosystem managing workflows and fulfilment.
Since our beginning, we have innovated with a singular focus on more sustainable, on-demand production to enable better possibilities for brands, creators and manufacturers.
On-demand production means never missing a trend, marking goods down, or worse, scrapping inventory.
