SchultenPrint Of Holland Focuses On Large Format UV Inkjet Printing With Agfa
In recent years, SchultenPrint in Zoetermeer (the Netherlands) has seen strong growth in short-run displays.
In order to meet the increasing demand, the large format printing division was expanded at the end of April with an Agfa hybrid Anapurna H2500i LED inkjet printer.
SchultenPrint was originally a repro service.
That department is still an important pillar within the company.
It does not deliver straightforward printing work, but often custom work, in which the wide range of finishing equipment makes an important contribution.
By working efficiently, deadlines are met time and again.
Creativity and solution orientation are the keywords for success.
Owner Eric Schulten: “Creativity is in our blood. Many of our productions are outside the graphics market. What appeals to me about Agfa is that they are also very active in other markets and are developing special applications for them that can help me further in the future. ”
The wide format printing division now has two 64 ”latex roll printers and two hybrid UV inkjet printers.
The Zünd milling cutting table has the most exotic tools on board to be able to make the difference during the finish.
Automation with Asanti
With the arrival of the Anapurna, SchultenPrint also decided to centrally control all large format equipment via Agfa's large format workflow Asanti.
There is now a uniform working method with extensive use of hot tickets; per product or customer, daily operations such as adding bleed, placing crop marks and barcodes, color replacement, nesting, preflighting, etc. are performed automatically. Schulten:
“The True Shape Nesting option ensures very efficient media use. This not only saves a lot of money, we also have a lot less waste. The workflow pays for itself in no time. ”
