At the US trade fair Printing United Show in Las Vegas from 10 to 12 September 2024, RICOH  gave first insights into its new DTF roll-to-roll concept.

The printing system for textile finishing is intended to set a new standard for artists and designers as well as for large-scale production, as was heard at the trade fair.

Productivity and quality are the main requirements of customers for the machine manufacturer RICOH.

For this reason, the roll-to-roll concept has been further improved in terms of robustness and innovative printing technology.

The RICOH Printing System Is A DTF Printer Using Proprietary Industrial Printhead Technology Developed By Ricoh.

"Unlike many other thin-film piezo heads on the market, our bulk piezo heads offer robust, high-viscosity inks at a higher frequency and highest reliability," explains Thomas Meurers, Textile Channel Sales Manager EMEA at Ricoh Europe.Other key features of the DTF roll-to-roll concept are print quality, with "unmatched color accuracy and detail thanks to Ricoh's state-of-the-art printheads and image processing technology."

"Ricoh's innovative technology has allowed us to push the boundaries of what's possible in custom DTF printing," said Josep Domingot, General Manager at Ricoh DTG. "Our novel DTF roll-to-roll concept is a testament to our commitment to quality, creativity and service, providing our customers with a tool that not only meets but exceeds their expectations."

The new system is expected to be available from the second quarter of 2025. It is to be shown at FESPA 2025 (6 to 9 May 2025 in Berlin).
