In addition to its main location on the show floor, Xeikon featured prominently at the Printing United Experience Zone, a dedicated showcase of innovative print applications with real-world settings.

The Wall Deco Discovery solution, a turnkey configuration for high-end wall coverings, was presented through a series of print applications for different rooms in the home with wall decor produced by Rebel Walls and within the convenience store setting.

The complete end-to-end digital solution will deliver 1200 dpi at speeds up to 300 m²/hour.

The central element in the solution is the 4-colour Xeikon 3050 entry level industrial production press.

After printing, the web varnishing module provides the option for inline varnishing of the wallpaper to enrich the effect or to protect, and at the end of the line, the wallpaper medium rewinder outputs the finished rolls ready for further logistics.

Dimitri Van Gaever, Business Development Manager Graphic Arts for Xeikon, states: “Following last year’s launch of our highly productive wall decoration digital production suite based on the Xeikon CX500 press, we quickly identified a demand for a medium capacity solution that delivers the same exacting standards.”

He continues: “There is no compromise on efficiency and quality with this latest addition to our portfolio. True to Xeikon's total approach, this end-to-end solution quickly and simply produces fully finished rolls of wallcoverings. It is positioned at an attractive price point to make it accessible to every professional, enabling him to immediately create added value and build his business.”

The Walldeco Discovery Solution has been designed to deliver cost-effective short runs with fast changeovers and minimal waste. It supports fast time-to-market, streamlined logistics, and reduced stock-holding and warehousing.

The highest quality and eco-friendly solution ensures colour stability and output reproducibility. It can run the broadest range of non-woven substrates, and enables a wide variety of application capabilities.

Van Gaever adds: “Another key benefit for customers is the fact it also complies with all legislation surrounding indoor emissions and construction, including EN 15102 for wall coverings.”

The entry-level solution is perfectly positioned to support operations taking their first steps in wall decoration applications as it offers a clear upgrade path. It is scalable up to a capacity of 900 m²/hour when producing with the much faster Xeikon CX500.
