Graduate Designer Beth Lingard Celebrates Winning The Premier Digital Textiles Award at New Designers 2025
Emerging textile designer Beth Lingard has been named winner of the Premier Digital Textiles Vibrancy in Print Award at New Designers 2025, marking a significant milestone in her career and highlighting the growing importance of digital innovation in textile design.
Lingard described winning as "surreal and moving" and has already begun collaboration discussions with several design studios since receiving the award. "Winning the Premier Digital Textiles Vibrancy in Print Award means so much to me — both personally and professionally," she said. "Not only is it an incredible recognition of my creative journey, but it also gives me the chance to collaborate with Premier Digital Textiles, whose expertise and state-of-the-art digitally prepared fabrics will help bring my designs to life in stunning quality."
The Leeds Arts University graduate received the prestigious award for her Dusk Till Dawn collection, a series of luxury wallcoverings and furnishing fabrics that explore the dreamlike transition from night to morning.
Judges praised the collection's depth, vibrancy, and successful integration of traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge digital processes.
The Dusk Till Dawn collection features intricate hand-drawn illustrations combined with digital painting and advanced textile printing techniques.
The designs showcase flora, mystical creatures, and jewel-toned colourways that demonstrate the potential of modern digital textile printing to elevate traditional design concepts.
As winner, Lingard received a £500 cash prize, ongoing mentoring, global showcase opportunities in OEM demo and experience centres, plus £500 worth of PrepRITE fabric and print time.
She is now working directly with Premier Digital Textiles to develop her portfolio further.
