Mutoh Europe Announces Leadership Transition ─ Frank Schenk To Become Managing Director

Oostende, Belgium – May 2024 - Mutoh Europe nv, the EMEA headquarters for wide-format printer manufacturer Mutoh Industries Co. Ltd, Japan, is pleased to announce a significant leadership transition.
Effective July 1st, Frank Schenk will assume the role of Managing Director of Mutoh Europe nv and Mutoh Deutschland GmbH. In his new capacity, Schenk will oversee all aspects of sales, pre-sales, logistics, marketing, product and application support, as well as after-sales support activities across the EMEA business area.
Frank Schenk has served as General Manager Sales for Mutoh since July 2021 and has been instrumental in driving sales growth and strategic initiatives.
He will succeed Mitsuo Takatsu, who has been at the helm since 2020. Takatsu's tenure has been marked by a strong focus on reinforcing the company's sales and marketing framework, positioning Mutoh for sustainable growth within the EMEA region.
Since the summer of 2021, Takatsu and Schenk have collaborated closely to further enhance the company’s operations and drive transformative changes. Upon successful transition of responsibilities, Takatsu will return to Japan at the end of September 2024.
Frank Schenk will be supported by Mr. A. Ogawa, Managing Director, Chairman of Mutoh Europe, and Stephan Heintjens, who was recently promoted to General Manager Applications, Marketing, Service & QA. Heintjens brings over 30 years of experience with Mutoh to his new role, ensuring continuity and stability within the management team.
In his current role as GM Sales EMEA, Schenk will be succeeded by Mr. Daniel Morassut in early June. Morassut brings extensive sales experience in the professional print industry, having previously held positions at OKI® and SEIKO®.

Starting May 28th, Mutoh Europe will be exhibiting at Drupa in Düsseldorf, the world’s largest Print & Media exhibition. The event will showcase Mutoh’s current and upcoming digital printer portfolio, including solutions for sign & display, dye sublimation, direct-to-object, and direct-to-substrate proofing.
