Muraspec’s Digitally Printed Bespoke Wallcoverings Add Style And Atmosphere To A Yorkshire Gastro-Pub
Water-inspired Palm wallcovering makes a perfect focal point for the newly transformed Pub & Restaurant, The Pine Marten, located in the boutique spa town of Beckwithshaw, in the heart of Yorkshire.
Challenge:
JMDA was commissioned to develop and apply Premium Country Pub’s High Energy Mandarin concept to the renovation of The Pine Marten.
The client wanted this location to appeal to its younger demographic, so this needed to be factored in when considering the design.
Partnering with A & B Platinum Decorators, a bespoke digital wallcovering design was required with a specific gold foil base emboss which would provide a calming presence amongst the vibrant colours of the wider scheme.
Solution:
The design concept was top-of-the-scale, extravagant and colourful, with fine attention to detail and full of Instagram-able features.
The inspiration behind the design was from the town’s cosmopolitan spa heritage. The concept was developed on the idea of reflections and distortion.
Pleats in furniture, curved lines in fixed seating and water-inspired wallcoverings would all contribute to this idea, with the aim to provide a calming presence amongst the vibrant colours.
The Digital team was approached to bring the design to life for the bar's feature mural wall.
Sampling and recoloration of a unique Palm setting reflecting this water-inspired theme involved close collaboration between all parties to ensure every aspect of the detail was included.
Results:
The Pine Marten underwent a remarkable transformation, completely elevating the look of its bar and restaurant, as well as the ground floor rooms and garden (complete with pond).
Our beautiful statement wallcovering with its unique palm pattern design printed onto a gold foil textured finish delivers an instant visual impact, worthy of any Instagram post. The exotic foliage of the wallcovering further accentuates the softness of the curved wooden arches of the bar, providing a natural frame adding depth to the space.
The overall result is a charming and trendy pub destined to attract a younger audience.
