Man Print & Sign Interview Marcel Vermeulen About The Speed & Versatility of Their New Roland IU-1000F

Vermeulen & Vermeulen Reclame — of Nieukujik in the Netherlands founded by father Bob and son Marcel — has been involved in advertising lettering since 1996.
They have been a business relation of Man Print & Sign from the very beginning.

So it's high time to interview Marcel about the many years of cooperation, and the printer with which the company now creates beautiful and special products: the Roland IU-1000F.
Customer For 27 Years
Marcel says “Vermeulen employs real practitioners who specialize in lettering and signing. Based on our expertise and proven craftsmanship, we apply these to cars, vans, trucks, facades and displays, among other things. For this you obviously need high-quality products, but fortunately we are equipped with the most advanced printers. From day one, Man Print & Sign has been our go-to partner for this. The reason we have been a customer of theirs for 27 years and have never looked further is because of the excellent service, the warm relationship and the always clear communication.”
Roland IU-1000F
Marcel continues “We've purchased numerous products from Man Print & Sign over the years, but perhaps what I'm most impressed with is the Roland IU-1000F. This large format UV flatbed printer is second to none, super-accurate and offers our company endless printing possibilities. This allows us to meet the most diverse wishes of our customers.”
“The reason we purchased the IU-1000F at the time was because we were looking for a fast and versatile printer that allows us to print on higher objects. Many UV printers have a maximum print height of 4-5 centimeters, while the IU-1000F has a print height of no less than 11 centimeters. This is important to us, because we want to make special products with which we distinguish ourselves.”
Very User-Friendly
Marcel goes on to say that “Apart from its speed and versatility, it is really wonderful to work with the Roland IU-1000F. In the morning we press the clean button once, after which we can print all day. Really ideal! It is also very nice that you can work with Primer ink, so that we can efficiently prepare materials such as glass and acrylic.”
“We have already been able to make many beautiful and diverse products for our customers using the IU-1000F: from wooden boxes and cabinets to leather and control panels. But there is one project that I am most proud of and that I would like to highlight. In 2017, Loving Vincent was released, an animated feature film that tells the story of Vincent van Gogh's last years and brings his paintings to life. With the IU-1000F, we developed shoes, entirely in the style of Van Gogh, that the producers of the film wore during the premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France. Tomas Snels was the initiator of the project and responsible for the design, and Van Drunen Schoenfabriek produced the shoe.”
“We continue to experiment and respond to the latest technological developments, so that we can continue to be distinctive in the future and meet the needs of our customers. Vermeulen & Vermeulen advertising continuously invests in training and constant modernization of the machinery. The purchase of the IU-1000F, so that we can now print on objects up to 11 cm high, is a good example of this. And of course we will continue to participate with our team in international car wrap competitions. We have won multiple awards in the past, including a FESPA Award Gold in 2020, and we hope to be successful again in the future.”
