West Chester, Ohio, USA—Color-Logic has announced certification of the Mimaki JFX600-2513 flatbed UV-LED printer, the fastest model in the Mimaki JFX series.
The new JFX600-2513 is the successor model to the JFX500-2131. It is a large-format flatbed UV inkjet printer that further pursues speed and quality, the two key factors required of large-format printers, the Mimaki website states.
Discussing the certification, Mark Geeves, Director of Color-Logic Sales and Marketing, said: "With 16 heads, the Mimaki JFX-600-2513 printer produces up to 2,152 square feet of images per hour. Color-Logic licensees using the machine can expect to offer their print customers consistent, reproducible, metallic designs for packaging, signage, short-run cartons, and labels. The Mimaki machine utilizes the Onyx RIP, which has long been Color-Logic certified."
Color-Logic develops color communication systems and software tool sets for a variety of special effect printing applications. It provides brand owners, product managers, corporations, and their advertising agencies the ability to differentiate themselves and their clients with a simple print production process that yields dramatic results. Color-Logic decorative effects utilize the existing workflows of printers and designers.
RIP Developers Recognize Color-Logic Importance
The importance and utility of Color-Logic in the printing industry is widely recognized by RIP (Raster Image Processor) developers as the preferred method of producing metallic images and special effects.
Discussing the matter, Mark Geeves, Color-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing, said: "In digital printing, a RIP serves as the interface between the Digital Front End (DFE) and the print engine. Because of differences in print engines and DFEs, each digital press installation needs a RIP that has been specifically tailored to connect between the DFE and print engine being used. Specific features have been made available by almost all RIP manufacturers to enable printers to use Color-Logic in their workflows. The fact that these RIP developers have made Color-Logic available to users of nearly every digital press and printer manufacturer worldwide speaks to the widespread popularity of the Color-Logic metallic color system."
