ITMA 2027 Stand Space Applications Now Open As Exhibition Returns To Germany After 36 Years

Brussels, Belgium – 9 September 2025 – ITMA Services has announced that stand space applications are now open for ITMA 2027, the world's leading textile machinery exhibition.

The seven-day event will take place at Messegelände Hannover, Germany from 16 to 22 September 2027, marking the exhibition's return to Germany after a 36-year absence.

Featuring the theme "Co-creating the Future of Textiles," ITMA 2027 is expected to bring together global leaders and innovators to shape the industry's future as it transitions from Industry 4.0 to 5.0.

The exhibition aims to humanise technology whilst accelerating the shift towards a circular economy built on collaboration, innovation and regeneration.

Following the success of ITMA 2023 in Milan, which attracted 1,709 exhibitors from 47 countries and over 111,000 visitors from 143 countries, leading textile and garment machinery manufacturers are being invited to secure their presence early at this influential industry platform.

Alex Zucchi, President of CEMATEX, owner of ITMA, said: "In 2027, ITMA returns to Hanover after 36 years. More than a platform for the promotion of innovative technologies, it is a turning point in the textile industry. As we evolve from Industry 4.0 to 5.0, we're not just automating, we're humanising technology. Together, we'll accelerate the shift towards a circular economy – one that is built on collaboration, innovation and regeneration."

Dr. Janpeter Horn, Chairperson of VDMA Textile Machinery Association, expressed enthusiasm about the German location: "We expect to have a strong presence of VDMA companies as our members are excited that ITMA will be staged in Germany after a long break. Supported by Hanover's best-in-class exhibition infrastructure, ITMA 2027 will be an excellent platform for them to launch their latest innovations, focusing on efficiency, automation, digitalisation and sustainability."

The exhibition is expected to gross 200,000 square metres and draw over 1,500 exhibitors across 20 product sectors, encompassing the entire textile and garment manufacturing value chain.

ITMA 2027 will feature special provisions including CEMATEX grants for research institutions and start-up companies, with research and educational institutions eligible for 50 per cent cost subsidisation and up to 20 young companies receiving fully subsidised participation in the Start-Up Valley.

Companies can apply for stand space at www.itma.com,

Whilst additional information about ITMA 2027 will be available at the upcoming ITMA ASIA + CITME exhibition in Singapore from 28 to 31 October 2025.
