Twine Solutions is a technology start-up that has developed a proprietary and revolutionary digital on-demand thread dyeing system and a digital dye-to-match colour application.

Twine’s system continuously dyes a single raw off-the-shelf white thread to any requested length and in any colour, with a choice of millions of colours and shades as well as colour gradients.

Its disruptive technology is revolutionizing the thread, fabric and garment industries by eliminating the long, messy, cumbersome conventional bulk dyeing of thread that is common practice today.

Twine’s Digital Thread Dyeing process does not require any water and eliminates thread waste, making the process significantly more sustainable.

Dyeing thread with Twine’s TS-1800 also eliminates volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and the energy consumed in daily logistics and conventional procurement processes.

The company was founded in 2015 in Israel, the world hub of digital printing, and has over 50 seasoned professionals, and growing, with deep experience in the industry across a variety of disciplines, including Ph.Ds .

They have expertise in: materials and process, physics, nano materials, algorithms and mechanics.

Twine’s DST™ (Digital Selective Treatment) technology enables thread dyeing on-demand, with thread ready to use within seconds .

Twine’s digitally dyed threads meet the highest industry standards using a unique, waterless, eco-friendly process.

Twine eliminates the need for maintaining coloured thread stock. It dramatically reduces logistics costs, eliminating dead stock and other waste costs.

This innovative single thread, multi-colour method will unleash your creativity by removing design limitations while improving production efficiencies, margins, and overall profitability, resulting in a ROI and a low Total Cost of Ownership.

Twine’s revolutionary system digitally dyes raw and off-the -shelf white thread (from different manufacturers) for a variety of industry sectors: sewing, knitting and embroidery. The digitally dyed thread can be used for endless applications such as apparel, activewear, shoes, accessories, home decor, vehicle upholstery and many more.

Twine Solutions is announced the official launch of its products including live demonstrations at the ITMA show on June 20-26, 2019 in Barcelona, Spain.

The strategic partnership between Twine and Coats was announced last November and will include future capabilities of Twine’s system, to feature inbuilt colour software, integrated with Coats ColourStitch.

Coats were also included in Twine’s booth at ITMA.

This is yet another step in reinforcing the joint work on the future technology for the textile industry.

Twine also showcased its digital colour matching mobile application.

The SnapMatch™ application simply captures an image of a sample using a mobile device and Twine’s proprietary algorithms analyze the color immediately and accurately.

The user then sends the captured colour to the TS-1800 system for immediate thread dyeing in the desired colour.
