Improving The Quality Of Life With Mutoh's XpertJet 461UF

Since March 2023, the Lippe Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (LBSV) in Detmold have a Mutoh XpertJet 461UF flatbed printer with UV LED. It creates new, lucrative markets for signage for the facility of the visually impaired.
The LBSV in Detmold does know a thing or two about printing. For decades, in the printing workshop people with disabilities in cooperation with their specialists for employment and career promotion have been producing commercial jobs and advertising prints.
The product range is now being expanded with a Mutoh XpertJet 461 direct to object printer.
As a first step, new signalisation with Braille letters is to be installed on site in the workshops and living areas. Later, the service will also be offered to companies and public authorities.
"We have now extensively tested the Mutoh UV flatbed printer and are very satisfied with the result," explains workshop manager Marco Dröge. "The Braille structures can be felt very well at a structure height of 0.4 mm." Currently, the workshop of the Lippe Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired is developing new products with the Mutoh XpertJet 461UF and presenting them to potential customers. Due to the large print height of 150 mm, the printer is not only suitable for flat objects, but also for direct printing on small objects such as promotional items.
