Epson Looks Forward To A Stunning Showcase Of Technologies And Printing Solutions At Its Pre-drupa Press Conference

Duncan Ferguson, Vice President of Commercial and Industrial Printing at Epson Europe, spoke to journalists at the pre-drupa press conference, outlining what visitors can expect from Epson this year.

Under the title "Changing the Model for Localized Manufacturing," Duncan explained how Epson is gearing its production to offer increasingly compact and efficient printing solutions, and how a key focus for the company will be customization and the development of technologies aimed at delivering production at the point of demand.

In Particular:

·       Epson's latest highly robust industrial printhead, the D3000, designed for aqueous and UV ink applications. S;

·       Extending Epson's new product design concept across multiple platforms, which began with the award-winning design enhancements to the SureColor 44-inch T- and P-Series models;

·       Epson's new SurePress industrial labeling concept;

·       The new SureColor F10000 jumbo roll, Epson's most productive dye-sublimation printer to date;

·       The latest Epson printers designed for the growing market of customization and micro-production;

·       The new SD-10 Scanning Table, an automatic and portable color reading table that allows you to quickly and easily create media profiles and perform automatic media checks and calibrations;

·       Future developments, including support for more sustainable fashion thanks to Epson's unique Dry Fibre Technology (DFT).

In addition to specific Epson technologies and products that will be on display at drupa, he also gave an outlook into the future.

Haute couture garments from the partnership with Japanese designer Yuima Nakazato showed what is already possible today with digital printing processes and innovations such as Epson Dry Fiber Technology.

Among them is a piece from the collection, which was created from recycled garments using this technology.
