Epson is making color management for professional printers easier and more reliable with the introduction of its new automatic measuring table for the SD-10 spectrophotometer
Epson's new automatic stage for the SD-10 spectrophotometer challenges and disproves the popular perception that color management is time-consuming and requires high technical knowledge and skills.
The SD-10 is a full-featured, easy-to-use colorimeter that works seamlessly with the new Epson Edge Color Lite color management software (compatible with Epson Edge Print PRO RIP software).
This provides a true color management solution that meets most color management needs and maximizes print output quality.
This new solution is fast and features fast automatic measurement, allowing users to create an ICC profile by measuring just 379 patches (1 x A3 sheet) and perform quick verification by scanning the graph with just 80 patches measure.
The new automatic measuring table also helps solve color matching problems in a variety of printing and design jobs, such as those commonly encountered in the sign, display and textile industries.
By using the new Auto Table with Epson Edge Color Lite and the SD-10 spectrometer, you can create media profiles easily and quickly, with no technical knowledge or skills required. You can also check and unify the output color of multiple Epson printers, as well as calibrate and keep the output color stable over long periods of time on the same printer.
For improved usability, the new Auto Table supports color card media sizes up to 331mm wide, 13mm thick and virtually any length. The new Auto Table then automatically detects the media position and thickness via the optical sensors, with the automatic measurement for an A3 color card taking just five minutes.
The new Auto Table is portable and easy to store thanks to its compact design (550 × 395 × 128 mm), it weighs 3.4 kg - without the included carrying case and an SD-10.

Simple and easy to use: Epson Edge Color Lite's fully automatic chart reading process and all functions are integrated into Epson Edge Print PRO and can be operated easily and intuitively without any technical knowledge or skills.
High-quality gradation: Epson Edge Color Lite can produce uniform gradation without significantly reducing the color gamut.
Gamut Viewer: Users can visually check and compare the specified profile scale.
Fluorescent Media Profile: Epson Edge Color Lite allows users to create optimized fluorescent color media profiles for Epson fluorescent printers such as the SC-F6460H and SC-F10060H.
The new Epson Auto Table for the SD-10 is expected to ship from April 2024.
