Epson announces the launch of the SureColor S7100, the latest addition to its range of next-generation large-format visual communication printers.

Building on the success of the SC-S40600, which has sold more than 11,000 units worldwide, the SC-S7100 has been designed with a special emphasis on reliability, productivity, ease of use and exceptional print quality.

The SC-S7100, a 4-color eco-solvent printer, incorporates advanced technologies that improve both user experience and print quality.

Key features of the SC-S7100 include:

·       New printhead technology: The improved 1.33-inch-wide PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead facilitates faster printing and wider print width in a single pass, increasing the number of nozzles from 360 to 400.

·       Nozzle Verification Technology (NVT): This automated nozzle status detection system alerts users to any problems, ensuring optimal printer performance.

·       Improved speed and productivity: The SC-S7100 offers a 23.8% productivity increase in default mode (6-pass vinyl) compared to the SC-S40600, significantly reducing production times without compromising image quality.

·       Larger ink bags: The transition from 700ml cartridges to 800ml ink bags reduces the frequency of ink replacement, while being 84% lighter and generating 91% less waste per bag, aligning with Epson's sustainability goals.

·       Robust Media Feeding System – Advanced media feeding technology ensures accurate material handling and reduces potential damage through improved tension control and a reinforced feed roller.

There Are Also A Number Of Additional Features Of The SC-S7100, Such As:

·       Text Sharpening Function: This feature improves the accuracy of printing small texts, improving the readability and line width of white text for finer details.

·       Trolley Temperature Sensor: Quickly detects temperature differences, allowing for accurate temperature compensation to minimize color variations. This feature maintains uniformity between the beginning and end of longer print jobs, compensating for changes in ink temperature and nozzle surfaces caused by the platen heater.

·       User-oriented interface: A 4.3-inch touchpad allows you to easily manage ink levels and other functions.

·       LED Lighting: This feature improves visibility during printing operations, allowing users to easily monitor the status of the printer.

·       Epson Cloud Solution PORT: Users can take advantage of this intuitive cloud solution to gain real-time insights into printer production statistics, equipment utilization, and service information, improving workflow efficiency.

Chris Davies, Head of C&I product management, Epson Europe, stated, “The SureColor S7100 embodies Epson’s ongoing commitment to innovation and dedication to supporting signage professionals. With its enhanced productivity, the SC-S7100 enables users to produce high-quality signage, ensuring reliable performance backed by UltraChrome G3 inks.”

"Designed to meet the diverse needs of the sign and graphic communication market, the SC-S7100 combines advanced technology with a host of easy-to-use features. With this addition, Epson aims to set the highest standards of quality and reliability for large-format visual communication printing."
