The project includes a new home for the company that will host the team in a complex of 20 thousand square meters of covered spaces, for an investment of around 20 million euros.
EFI Reggiani, the ideal partner for integrated solutions for the entire textile process, from yarn treatment to printing and finishing of fabrics, continues its growth strategy and inaugurates the construction site of the new headquarters in Comun Nuovo.
The project includes a new home for the company, now based in Grassobbio, which will house the team in a complex of 20 thousand square meters of covered spaces, for an investment of around 20 million euros.
The project allows for an expanded demo centre, that is the space in which the machines are exhibited to show their functioning to customers, and will be close to doubling the square footage, going from the current 1,700 square meters to about three thousand.
The new demo centre will house Mezzera pre- and post-treatment and Jaeggli yarn treatment products as well as EFI Reggiani printers.
It will also feature EFI Reggiani’s recently acquired portfolio of Inedit Rip and workflow software solutions.
The first stone was laid on Tuesday 28 June at 5 pm and the completion of the works is scheduled for mid-2023.
“The new headquarters is a recognition of the commitment and skills of our employees also on the part of our parent company - underlines Adele Genoni, Sr. Vice President and General Manager of EFI Reggiani -. This is an important milestone in Reggiani's long history and my esteem and gratitude go to all those who have contributed to making this undertaking possible ”.
The project, attentive to eco-sustainability and the well-being of workers, is managed by Immobiliare Percassi, which has studied a project with the company that respects the environment and the well-being of the workers.
400 kilowatts of solar panels will be installed, which will cover up to 60% of the company's overall needs.
Furthermore, the building will be able to enjoy a better class of thermal insulation with consequent reduction of air conditioning costs, it will be covered with sheds that guarantee better lighting of the rooms, and reduction of electricity costs for artificial lighting, and will be equipped with lighting with LED technology that reduce the consumption of electricity.
There will be green spaces - around 20% of the total area - and those dedicated to sustainable mobility with parking spaces for bicycles and motorcycles.
At the same time, the parking area for cars will also be expanded; a canteen will be confirmed at the workers' disposal and a gym will be made available for the 360 ° well-being of the employees.
The project was also made possible thanks to the financial partner GFA Garda of MPS leasing which has supported and continues to support EFI Reggiani in this strategic operation.
