Pforzheim Announces Call For 2026 Designers In Residence Program
Pforzheim, Germany – September 2025 – The city of Pforzheim, in collaboration with Pforzheim University and the Design Center Baden-Württemberg, has officially opened applications for its prestigious "Designers in Residence" scholarship program for 2026.
This three-month, full-time working residency invites emerging international designers to develop their projects in a creative and supportive environment.
The residency is scheduled to run from April 1 to June 30, 2026. It is open to young designers who have completed their studies within the last two years and are working in the fields of jewellery, fashion, industrial design, or communication design.
The program encourages interdisciplinary exchange and provides a unique platform for creatives to explore new concepts and bring their innovative ideas to life.
Selected residents will be provided with fully equipped workspaces in the EMMA Creative Center, free accommodation for the duration of the program, and a monthly stipend.
The residency culminates in a final presentation and exhibition at the EMMA Creative Center, offering participants valuable exposure and the opportunity to present their work to the public and industry professionals.
The program aims to foster creative talent and strengthen Pforzheim's long-standing reputation as a city of design.
Applications must be submitted online by November 3, 2025, at 23:59 CET.
The selection process will be conducted by a panel of expert judges, who will evaluate submissions based on the quality, originality, and developmental potential of the proposed projects.
