4th November 2021 : Embrace Building Wraps has used PVC-free Kavalan from CMYUK to cover construction welfare cabins situated to the rear of the Beaumont Hotel in Mayfair.

The cabins overlook Providence Court, where behind a retained façade the 5-star hotel’s new extension is being redeveloped.

Three floors are being built for additional bedrooms and a new basement will be excavated.

Cheltenham-based Embrace Building Wraps was briefed to project manage the wrapping of the cabins to enhance the street environment and promote the hotel’s stunning new extension.

Embrace delivered the creative design and provided assistance with the planning application.

It printed and installed the wrap, and is responsible for its maintenance,  removal and recycling.

To install the wrap, the company fixed an offset steel frame onto three sides of the front facing elevations of the cabins measuring 7m high and 22m wide.

The 7m x 22m digitally printed building wrap – the equivalent of 154 sq. m – was printed onto PVC-free Kavalan Sunlight weldable banner material from CMYUK.

This is a frontlit banner with a grey reverse that has the look, feel and strength of traditional PVC but with none of its eco-malignance.

The Beaumont Hotel has recently reopened after an 18-month closure where its interiors were refurbished by New York based designer Thierry Despont and London-based architects Reardon Smith.

A bar, lounge and an outdoor dining terrace have been added.

The new extension work is expected to be completed by 2023.
