CARLSTADT, N.J., October 2019 – CLO Virtual Fashion––a 3D fashion design software used to create true-to-life 3D garments––has partnered with Pantone to include a Pantone Color Library preset in their 5.1 version.
The new release will give users the ability to apply colors from the Pantone Library to their designs.
The new version will launch this October and they invite anyone to download the software for free upon its release.
CLO and Pantone have mutual clients who have inquired about this feature being included in the software quite frequently, which makes this partnership all the more exciting.
Given the fact that Pantone is the industry standard, this collaboration will help simplify the design process and every step of production from concept to creation for designers who utilize the software.
“As part of our ongoing voice-of-customer outreach, we speak with fashion designers all over the world to find out how we can help them and what tools are being used where the Pantone libraries could be of value. CLO was brought up on multiple occasions,” said Adrián Fernandez, Vice President and General Manager of Pantone. “As such, Pantone is delighted to be working with CLO to broaden the ability for fashion creators to select, apply, visualize and communicate the full range of Pantone Fashion, Home + Interiors color libraries within CLO 5.1.“
He concluded, “Using Pantone colors in this way provides fashion and retail brands the confidence to specify Pantone’s wide range of achievable colors, which are based on exacting Pantone physical color swatches.”
The software will feature PANTONE FASHION, HOME + INTERIORS Libraries including, Polyester (TSX), Cotton (TCX), and Nylon Brights (TN) giving users an extensive list of colors to play around with for their designs.
By partnering with Pantone, CLO is able to leverage their color offerings and contribute to practical inspiration for designers. “Our goal as a company when considering partnerships solely relies upon feedback from our users and the necessity to work with Pantone became an organic match.” says Ryan Teng, VP of Business Development at CLO Virtual Fashion. He continues, “With this collaboration, we hope to not only bring our users together, but also strengthen their ability to maintain consistency and creativity as we look towards the future.”
