Brother Industrial EMEA Joins Groundbreaking ‘Textile Factory 7.0’ Project
Mönchengladbach, Germany – July 17th 2025 – Brother Industrial EMEA is proud to announce its involvement in the forward-thinking “Textile Factory 7.0” initiative, a future-oriented project launched yesterday by Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) in collaboration with leaders in science, business, and local authorities.
The goal of this project is to revolutionise the textile industry, creating a model for digital, sustainable, and competitive textile production and advancing structural change in the Rhineland region.
The ambitious project has received a funding commitment of €25 million from Mona Neubaur, Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection, and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia, marking a significant milestone in transforming the textile industry.
A key highlight of the initiative is the establishment of a cutting-edge technology centre at the Monforts Quartier Mönchengladbach.
This centre will serve as a hub for innovation, featuring advanced on-demand production technologies, microfactories, smart textiles, and laboratories dedicated to the development of sustainable materials.
Notably, Brother’s Microfactory, including the Myze Print and Embroidery Workflow Software, will be an integral part of this ecosystem.
Looking at the long-term vision, the “Textile Factory 7.0” project seeks to establish T7 Park, a zero-emission industrial zone for circular economy-driven textile production.
This initiative will also benefit students through enhanced access to research opportunities, maker spaces, and interdisciplinary collaboration, preparing the next generation of innovators in sustainable textile production.
