Orange, Airbus, Thales and General Electric are among the clients of EMS, a printer based in Normandy.

To meet their requirements in terms of quality and durability, but also to extend the spectrum of its activities, the company invested last year in an HP Latex R1000 Plus.

By relying on the historical know-how of the company and adding his commercial expertise, Jérôme de Goué has since raised EMS to a turnover of nearly two million euros.

A leap forward supported by hiring and strategic investments in the company's machine park.

Explore New Markets

An HP Latex R1000 Plus printer entered the workshop at the end of summer 2021.

Installed by the distributor ID Numérique, the solution promised to consolidate EMS' position, as well as the exploration of new markets. “ Working with an HP Latex R1000 Plus helps us strengthen our position in our traditional markets, while being an educational opportunity as a company to learn and develop skills. Enough to offer new high value-added services to our customers ,” says Jérôme de Goué.

The manager was particularly won over by the quality of the white ink cover.

The versatility of HP Latex Inks, which allow printing on a multitude of substrates, also contributed to the immediate adoption of the R1000 Plus within the workshop.

If the exploration of the possibilities offered by the HP solution is still in progress at EMS, the first impressions are therefore promising. “We are still discovering the possibilities of the printer, but we have already tested it on wood, polycarbonate sheets, stainless steel, aluminum, plastics and technical fabrics. with excellent results ," says Jérôme de Goué.

The Importance Of Environmental Aspects

When choosing to invest in a printing solution, Jérôme de Goué had several criteria in mind.

Beyond a demand for quality and a need for a variety of applications, the manager was also looking for more sustainability for his company's productions - partly out of personal conviction and partly to meet the environmental expectations of its customers.

The HP Latex R1000 Plus, which uses water-based, odorless inks free of harmful substances and polluting emissions, met the specifications.

“ Our customers are becoming more and more aware of environmental aspects and the R1000 Plus allows us to carry out work that meets their strict criteria ,” says Jérôme de Goué.

This is particularly the case of Lunii, which called on EMS to print the front of its flagship product, a story box for children.

As a sign of its strong commitment to CSR issues, EMS was awarded the EcoVadis Platinum label in 2022.

Its own social responsibility charter has also been formalized, based on a manifesto and ten commitments guiding the company's daily activity.

These include: measuring and reducing the carbon footprint of the services and products delivered by the company, recycling production waste, favoring suppliers with CSR actions, and contributing to local development.
