Whiteghyll Boosts Agility and Productivity with Agfa Anapurna Ciervo H3200 Hybrid Press

September 2025 – Whiteghyll Ltd, a leading UK name in retail display, has significantly enhanced its production capabilities by installing an Agfa Anapurna Ciervo H3200 high-performance hybrid inkjet press.

The investment equips the company with greater agility, premium performance, and the efficiency needed to meet rising customer demand and challenging new substrates.

For over three decades, Whiteghyll has delivered striking signage, graphics, and installations for global brands, offering end-to-end services from in-house design to on-site installation.

To maintain its reputation for quality and creativity, the company sought a wide-format press that could handle a growing variety of work, including sustainability-focused materials.

The Agfa Anapurna Ciervo H3200, a 3.2m hybrid UV LED inkjet press, was selected to meet this need.

“There’s been a real push from our customers for sustainability-focused substrates like PALBOARD® and eco-vinyls,” explained Kevin Green, Print & Graphics Manager at Whiteghyll. “Newer materials can be challenging to work with, and our older kit wasn’t achieving what we wanted it to. When I saw the Anapurna Ciervo H3200 at The Print Show, it was the clear choice for us; it ticks every single box!”

The new press has become central to Whiteghyll’s workflow, handling both rigid and roll-fed materials up to 3.2m wide with a six-colour plus white ink set.

The company estimates it now completes two to three times more jobs per day compared to its previous setup.

The ability to feed sheets in a landscape orientation has halved printing times for many jobs, while the integrated Agfa Asanti RIP software has automated pre-press tasks, saving significant time and reducing material waste.

“With our previous printers, the sheets could only be fed vertically,” said Kevin. “Now we can feed sheets landscape and utilise the full width of the press to maximise print efficiency. The ink saving alone is significant. We’re using noticeably less ink per job, but the output is still razor-sharp and vibrant.”

Emma Plant, Sales Manager (North) at Agfa, commented on the partnership, "Whiteghyll is exactly the kind of partner we love to work with; technically sharp, creatively ambitious, and committed to print excellence. Seeing how quickly they’ve scaled up their output across a wide array of substrates, while improving efficiency and material use, has been a great success story. We’re proud to support them as they continue growing.”
