“Innovating the World of Textiles” was the ITMA theme for 2019, however, continuing from the 2015 theme, it was evident that the concerns and demands for environmentally sustainable textiles were still high on many people’s agenda.

AVA believe that ‘Sustainable’ is not a destination but more of a journey, and they  work continuously to help their customers to reduce their waste and the impact on the environment.

During the show, AVA showcased how AVA’s specialist software is the ideal solution not only for designers and colourists, but for all those within the printed textile industry who are aiming to saving time and money in the preparation and printing (digital or conventional) of decorative designs.

AVA provides an array of tools and solutions to enhance creativity, whilst maintaining accurate colour management for digital printing and automation of colour separations for screen engraving and re-colouring.

AVA has developed  Future proofed digital printing solutions for both sampling and production, offering  a range of specialist solutions for output to wide format paper, vinyl and textile printers.

Close contact with all of the leading printer manufacturers ensures that AVA can provide a smooth interface and perfect colour management for newer, faster, printers as they hit the market.

Cementing its reputation as the world’s largest textile and garment technology exhibition, ITMA conjured up an impressive list of 1,717 exhibitors, from 45 countries. With higher demand for exhibition space, the impressive venue Fira de Barcelona, Gran Via, had to open two additional halls to accommodate, thus providing an impressive floorspace of 114,500 sqm (a 6% growth on 2015.)

Due to great interest and the fact that industry is embracing digital transformation, ‘Printing’ had it’s own designated hall this year. An impressive 38% growth of exhibitors within this sector, saw it as one of the largest growing sectors for 2019.
