Rutters UK Transforms London Site with Canaletto Masterpiece Hoarding

Rutters UK, a specialist in large-format printing, has announced the completion of a significant project for the world-renowned auction house, Christie's London.

Commissioned by their client Andy Knight Ltd, Rutters UK produced a visually striking hoarding that features Canaletto's masterpiece, "Return of the Bucintoro on Ascension Day, circa 1732".

The project involved creating a series of large-scale PVC mesh panels, covering a total print area of 138.29 square metres.

This installation transforms a functional site perimeter into a captivating public art display, reflecting the prestigious legacy of Christie's.

The project, which entered production on the 5th of June, was successfully delivered and installed by the 12th of June, showcasing Rutters UK's efficiency and commitment to meeting tight deadlines for high-profile clients.

This collaboration highlights Rutters UK's capability to deliver bespoke, high-quality printed solutions for unique and culturally significant projects.

By reproducing the intricate details of the Canaletto painting on such a large scale, the hoarding serves not only as a boundary but as an engaging visual experience for the public, aligning with the impeccable standards of both Andy Knight Ltd and Christie's.

The installation stands as a testament to the potential of printed hoardings to enhance urban environments, tell compelling visual stories, and celebrate cultural heritage.

Rutters UK continues to help developers, architects, and curators transform practical site necessities into powerful visual showcases with creativity and craftsmanship.
