Ricoh Recognised As A Supplier Engagement Leader By The Carbon Disclosure Project

Tokyo, 23 February 2021 – Ricoh Company, Ltd. has received an “A” score rating for the Climate Change 2020 Program and has been included in the prestigious CDP 2020 Supplier Engagement Leaderboard.

CDP is a non-profit charity which runs the leading global disclosure system for environmental impact, for tackling climate change.

CDP’s annual Supplier Engagement Rating (SER) is designed to evaluate and spur action on corporate supply chain engagement on climate issues, based on the CDP climate change questionnaire.

The CDP surveys more than 5,800 companies worldwide.

The highest-rated companies are celebrated in the Supplier Engagement Leaderboard, and Ricoh is among the top 7% (approx. 400 companies) of the total assessed companies, of which 83 are Japanese.

Ricoh aims for zero GHG emissions across the entire value chain and aims to establish a zero-carbon society by providing highly energy-efficient products and solutions as well as actively encouraging business partners to do the same.

Ricoh provides recycled products by drawing on 3R-related technologies developed since 1994 and “The Comet Circle” – Ricoh’s own circular economy model.

Ricoh supports its suppliers in their CO2 reduction activities, and its comprehensive information disclosures are internationally acclaimed.
