Europe’s leading print and signage trade fair returns to Munich in 2023 from 23 – 26 May.
PrintFactory will be exhibiting – you can find them on STAND C21.
Come and find out more about their advanced workflow solutions.
It’s all about choosing workflow software that uses device-link profiles, and has in-built wizards, making them easy for anyone to create. Device-link profiling transforms colour from one colour space to another.
In the simplest of terms, our device-link profiles ensure normalised printing: directly converting from one colour space to another.
They don’t work through an intermediary area (CIE-Lab). Instead, they preserve colour separation through direct CMYK-to-CMYK conversions.
Rather than being converted to CIE-Lab and back, this ‘normalised’ printing means that every channel’s values stay the same – ensuring consistency and accuracy. It all happens behind the scenes.
What’s more, because our software’s device-link profiles work on an iterative basis (as jobs are getting processed, the software chooses the right values to reflect exactly what’s happening with stock and substrate changes, environmental conditions, and even wear and tear) … you can be sure of printing exactly the same colour on every printer, every time. No extra costs involved.
Traditional workflows for large format printing are inefficient and expensive. Using canned color profiles, multiple RIPs with differing color, and a mix of pre-press tools and color management platforms come at a massive cost, representing lost and essentially unbillable time.
On average, 35% of time per job is spent getting 'print ready,' and 20% on color management, reducing overall capacity and potential profit.
Troubleshooting and reprinting due to device calibration errors or inaccurate color profiles add more unbillable time and waste valuable ink and media.
Outdated ways of working are costing large format printers thousands in missed revenue opportunities.
Upgrade to a smarter workflow with PrintFactory and stay ahead of the game because exceptional hardware deserves exceptional software
PrintFactory’s Automated Workflows
PrintFactory’s automated workflows are designed to streamline and simplify the printing process by automating repetitive tasks and reducing the need for manual intervention. Some of the key features of PrintFactory’s automated workflows include:
Job scheduling: PrintFactory’s automated workflows allow you to schedule print jobs in advance, so they can be processed and printed at a specific time without the need for manual intervention.
Automated color management: Color management can be automated, with the ability to create and save profiles for different devices and media, which ensures consistent color reproduction across all jobs.
Preflighting: PrintFactory’s automated workflows include preflighting capabilities that automatically check for errors in the print job, such as missing fonts or incorrect color spaces, and alert you to any issues before the job is printed.
Automated nesting: This feature automatically arranges print jobs on a page to minimize waste and optimize the use of media.
Automated imposition: Imposition can be automated, this is the process of arranging multiple pages on a single sheet of paper in a specific order.
Automated finishing: Automated finishing features such as cutting, folding, and binding can be added to the workflow.
Job tracking: PrintFactory’s automated workflows include job tracking capabilities that allow you to monitor the progress of print jobs and view detailed information about each job, such as the print deadline, logistics information, status, the number of pages printed, and the amount of ink used.
Dashboard and Reporting: PrintFactory’s Dashboard is a comprehensive, web-based application that provides a single source of information about printers, cutters, jobs, RIPs, nests, and processes. Our software can detect and address any issues that may arise, before they become a problem. This helps to prevent bottlenecks and disruptions in production and ensures that the entire print shop process runs smoothly and without interruption. Reports can be generated automatically, with the ability to track job costs, ink usage, and other important information.
These features allow you to increase productivity, reduce errors and save cost, by automating repetitive tasks and allowing for more efficient use of resources.
PrintFactory’s Centralised RIP Workflow
Centralized RIP workflow refers to a system where a single RIP is used to process and distribute print jobs for multiple printers. Some benefits of a centralized RIP workflow include:
· Increased efficiency: By having a single RIP responsible for processing and distributing print jobs, the workflow is streamlined and more efficient. This can lead to faster turnaround times and reduced downtime. Read more:
· Improved consistency: With a centralized RIP, all print jobs are processed using the same settings, which can lead to improved consistency in the final output. This is particularly important for print shops that produce high-volume, consistent print runs. Read more:
· Better color management: A centralized RIP allows for better color management by providing a single point of control for color profiles and settings. This can lead to improved color accuracy and consistency across multiple printers. Read more:
· Reduced costs: A centralized RIP can help to reduce costs by eliminating the need to purchase and maintain multiple RIPs. Additionally, the centralized workflow can lead to reduced downtime and improved print quality, which can reduce waste and increase customer satisfaction. Read more:
· Remote monitoring and management: A centralized RIP workflow allows for remote monitoring and management of print jobs and printers, making it easy to troubleshoot and resolve issues remotely.
· Scalability: Centralized RIP workflows are highly scalable and allow for the easy addition of new printers to the workflow, making it easy to expand and adapt to changing business needs.
