The Mimaki JFX200-2513 From Josero Enables Fabriplas Of Bolton To Open Doors To New Markets
Bolton-based fabrication specialist Fabriplas is taking its business to new heights in 2022, with the launch of Creative Graphics North West, a new venture that will see the experienced Fabriplas team enter new print markets and expand its application capabilities.
As is to be expected, this meant the search was on for a new printer that could serve as the cornerstone of this exciting new enterprise.
Traditionally working with roll-to-roll equipment at Fabriplas, Director Jonathan Marsden explains that they were looking for a flatbed to open the door to new opportunities for the evolving business.
“Even though we’ve got wide-format experience in terms of roll-to-roll, the flatbeds are an entirely different beast,” says Marsden. “We needed a supplier partner that could really help us develop our flatbed printing.”
Having a longstanding relationship with Josero and its Managing Director Sarah Winterbottom, Marsden turned to the business to start its search for the perfect flatbed printer for its growing needs.
“Mimaki seemed to offer the best solution at an affordable price,” Marsden explains. “It was soon clear that Josero, and a Mimaki JFX200-2513, was the best option for us, allowing us to break into new markets and with the support we need along the way.”
Support was of course a key element of the process. As the business was purchasing a printer type it was unfamiliar with, choosing a trusted and knowledgeable supplier as a partner was top of mind for Fabriplas and the team.
“The service from Josero has been brilliant,” Marsden continues. “Everything went smoothly as they carried out the installation and the technical support was brilliant. It was a really seamless install, which was superb. A very helpful service all around.”
As the team familiarises itself with the machine and its new operational setup, it helps to know that the partnership with Josero doesn’t end with the install. “The service after the installation took place has been absolutely brilliant too, great aftercare. Nothing’s ever too much trouble for the Josero team.”
As the new business prepared for launch, the team wasted no time in getting the Mimaki JFX200-2513 up and running, as Marsden explains: “In terms of speeding up our processes, it has been fantastic. We previously printed on to vinyl and then applied to the substrate with no direct printing, so our operation is much more efficient. The machine hasn’t stopped since it’s been installed!”
Would Marsden work with Josero again following this experience? “Definitely,” he says. “We’ve already been talking about purchasing a potential new piece of equipment. It goes without saying that we’ll definitely be using Josero again for all our wide-format requirements.”
