CalderaRIP Software Now Available For The Roland IU-1000F UV Flatbed Printer

July 2021 : French printing software company Caldera has announced the support of the new Roland IU-1000F printer for CalderaRIP Version 14.

This new driver expands the award-winning software’s long list of supported peripherals for wide-format production.    

Designed for demanding printing production environments, Roland’s latest UV flatbed printer can be driven by CalderaRIP Version 14 to deliver impeccable results on cost-effective applications such as signs, display graphics, interior design, backlit boxes, or canvas murals.  

Built for tough for non-stop print production, PSP’s  can build their sign and graphics business around the IU-1000F large format flatbed printer.

Featuring high-resolution printing with banding prevention, twelve print heads, 1,280 nozzles per unit, and image results up-to 635 x 1,800 dpi, it offers fast, high-volume print production with high-impact graphic results.

The IU-1000F’s high density, high adhesion UV inks are compatible with an impressive variety of substrates including acrylic, PETG, PVC board, foam board, polycarbonate, wood, corrugated polypropylene board, aluminium composite plate, metal and glass*. 

Driving the Roland IU-1000F with CalderaRIP software is the best way to make the most out of the printer’s speed and color reproduction capabilities. Indeed, our driver is optimized for the usage of Roland’s special inks, and with Caldera’s advanced printing module, the user can manually or automatically manage how to use Primer, White and Clear inks on their print jobs.

For further automation, our unique Smart Import* feature allows Smart Hotfolders to automatically extract meta-data from the filename, such as the number of copies, targeted printer or presets in order to speed up job submission of traditional file-based workflows.  

In addition, Caldera’s true shape nesting feature delivers smarter image placing and optimized layouts for all kinds of shapes, not only rectangular, in order to dramatically reduce media waste and ensure a sustainable production while maximizing your ROI.

Furthermore, our market-leading solution generates barcodes or QR codes to improve the finishing process.
