GOTS's #BehindTheSeams 2025 Campaign Achieves Record-Breaking Start
Stuttgart, Germany 12th September 2025 – The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) has announced a record-breaking start to its third annual #BehindTheSeams campaign.
In the first ten days of September, the campaign has already seen unprecedented levels of engagement, highlighting a growing global consumer demand for transparency and sustainability in the textile industry.
The campaign's official website, behindtheseams.eco, has recorded 23% more visits in the first week of September than during the entire campaign month in the previous year.
Social media engagement has also surged, with some Instagram giveaways seeing double the average number of entries, indicating strong momentum for the movement towards certified organic textiles.
The #BehindTheSeams campaign is designed to educate consumers about the stringent social and environmental criteria behind the GOTS label and to tackle industry-wide issues such as a lack of transparency, gender discrimination, and the environmental impact of conventional agriculture.
This year's campaign introduces the #SpotGOTS Challenge, a global giveaway inviting consumers to share photos of their GOTS-certified products.
This initiative aims to celebrate and amplify the presence of GOTS products in the market, from clothing and bedsheets to personal care items.
By sharing their finds, consumers not only raise awareness but also have the chance to win prizes.
The challenge is a core component of this year's efforts to show that certified organic and responsibly produced textiles are accessible and essential.
