UKFT Leads British Textile Delegation to Milano Unica 2026

London, UK – 8 January 2026 – The UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT) has announced it will accompany a prestigious delegation of 27 British textile companies to Milano Unica, taking place from 20-22 January 2026 at the Rho Fieramilano in Milan, Italy.

Supported by the Worshipful Company of Clothworkers and the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), the group represents the pinnacle of British manufacturing, including leading mills, cloth merchants, and textile design studios.

Milano Unica has established itself as a cornerstone of the international textile calendar, offering a vital platform for high-end fabrics and accessories.

This season, the British delegation will showcase Spring-Summer 2027 collections that highlight a unique blend of heritage craftsmanship and modern innovation.

The UKFT stand will be located in the ‘Ideabiella’ area (Hall 20 B20), providing international buyers with direct access to the finest British fabrics, from classic suiting and luxury cashmere to performance textiles and sustainable innovations.

Daniel Connolly, Senior Executive at UKFT, said, “UKFT is proud to bring a diverse group of top British mills, textile manufacturers, cloth merchants and textile design studios to Milano Unica, supported by the Worshipful Company of Clothworkers and the Department for Business and Trade. The SS27 collections from British exhibitors showcase a dynamic fusion of tradition, craftsmanship and forward-thinking innovation. Whether through the creative use of natural fibres, cutting-edge performance fabrics or exquisite silks and jacquards, these companies continue to shape the future of fashion and luxury textiles. As sustainability and creativity take centre stage, British textiles remain at the forefront of global fashion trends at Milano Unica and beyond.”

A key focus for the January 2026 edition is a strategic partnership between UKFT, British Wool, and the Campaign for Wool.

This collaboration aims to spotlight the versatility, sustainability, and technical performance of wool.

With a growing global interest in provenance and responsible sourcing, British manufacturers are increasingly incorporating British wool into their collections, capitalising on its natural breathability, durability, and thermal regulation.

Representatives from both organisations will be present on the UKFT stand to discuss the material’s traceability and value.

The 27 companies exhibiting range from historic mills like Alfred Brown and John Foster to innovative design houses like Liberty Fabrics and Halley Stevensons.

The delegation includes manufacturers specialising in luxury worsted wool, cashmere, waxed cotton, silk, and sustainable tailoring fabrics, demonstrating the breadth of the UK's textile capabilities.
