Premiere Vision Launch New International Textile Competition

NextGen Awards Première Vision is an unprecedented opportunity for final year students to enjoy international visibility and rub shoulders with professionals from the entire textile sector.
Who can enter?
Disciplines accepted for the NextGen Awards Première Vision Competition: Prints – Knit – Weaving – Embellishment /Mix Media for either Fashion and/or Interiors.
Schools can nominate a maximum of 12 candidates per school. 20 finalists will enjoy a solo stand in the NextGen Awards Village at Première Vision Designs as part of Première Vision Paris in September 2020.
The prizes
Grand Jury Prize, for the most outstanding, symbolic and pertinent textile creation.
4 Extra Awards:
Handle Prize, for the textile creation with the most astonishing tactile and behavioural qualities, those with the strongest emotional impact.
Colour Prize, for the best use of colour whether in print, weave, knit, mixed media.
Imagination Prize, for the boldest, most original, most amazing textile creation in terms of decoration, technique, finishing, innovation and technology.
Interiors Prize, for the best fabric design for interiors.
To make this choice, a prestigious jury composed of influential international fashion figures will be assembled.
Prize winners’ names will be released at the Awards Première Vision ceremony.
THE TIMELINE PROCESS - ADVISE FOR PROGRAM LEADERS
Schools and program leaders are kindly advised to follow the below procedure.
STEP 1 - SCHOOL REGISTRATION - COMPULSORY
The deadline for school to register is March 15 2020 23,59 CET.
What do the schools need to do?
Each school will be charged a college submission registration fee of 500 euros (not including VAT) for a maximum of 12 candidates (you don't need to specify names at this stage).

Who can enter?
Disciplines accepted for the NextGen Awards Première Vision: Prints - Knit - Weaving - Embellishment /Mix Media for either Fashion and/or Interiors.
Schools can nominate a maximum of 12 candidates - please note this is 12 per school - not 12 per program.
The Competition is open to anyone worldwide nominated by their school and is over the age of 18 years who is studying or has graduated from higher education on a Textile or Fashion program /course graduating between November 2019 and June 2020.
For North America, Europe, Asia and UK schools, candidates should be a 2020 graduate.
For South America, Southern Africa, Australia/New Zealand schools, candidates should be a 2019 graduate.
Winners must commit to being available for the duration of the Première Vision show from 14 to 17 September 2020 (setting up of the show included).
Winners outside the EU must ensure their visa covers them for the September 2020 show dates.
STEP 2 - STUDENTS UPLOAD WORK TO ARTS THREAD
The deadline for students to upload their work is May 24 2020.
What do the schools need to do?
Please advise your chosen candidates to upload their work onto the Arts Thread platform before May 24 2020.
We are looking to access students' innovation and creativity with some degree of commercial awareness, including the use of different design skills, concepts and colourways.
ENTRIES MUST INCLUDE
One Final Graduate collection which must include all these elements -
Moodboards and colour boards - minimum 5 pages
Design concepts using sketches or drawings - minimum 5 pages
Final Designs photographed as styled imagery - minimum 5 pages
Concept ideas on how the collection could be commercialised - minimum 2 pages
Dimension: 1500 x 1500 pixels minimum
