MADE IN GREEN By OEKO-TEX ® A Worldwide Passport To Sustainability

Zurich, 23.01.19  More and more manufacturers of home textiles such as bedding, bedding and towels are referring to the topic of sustainability.

But brands and retailers are also increasingly relying on relevant labels such as MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX ® to convince customers of their textile products.

At the international trade fair Heimtextil in Frankfurt, visitors were also able to get an idea at the OEKO-TEX ® booth from 8 to 11 January 2019, just how much the topic of sustainability is also shaping the global home textile industry.

Especially in the case of home textiles with direct and continuous skin contact, many customers are very demanding:

They prefer products that have been proven to come from sustainable and socially acceptable production facilities and are also harmless to health. Are.

It is precisely these criteria that the MADE IN GREEN label identifies as a given. Each label on display has a unique product ID or a QR code.

For example, customers can still trace the production path of the respective item directly in the store via their smartphone and make their purchase decision more thoroughly.

These advantages are increasingly taking advantage of international brand companies and retailers with connected supply chains such as Macy's or Costco.

Together with their suppliers such as Dibella, Welspun or Birla Century, they can credibly demonstrate that each stage of production meets both the specified quality standards and the aspects of the work ethic.

But also home textile manufacturers who market their products on their own, such as Calida, Egeria, Irisette, Sonoma, Matheis or Charisma, can better position themselves in the competition with MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX ®.
